Hi Jacques,
Check that the add-in file is not blocked. Go to the folder %appdata%\Microsoft\AddIns, right-click on the file ieaadin.xlam, select Properties, then select the Unblock option.
If the unblock option is not available, then the file is already unblocked. In that case, please refer to this post for additional options: https://www.skinner.co.za/forum/installing-upgrading/103-ians-addin-appears-disappears-sporadically

I managed to get it working by installing the version without the installer and manually adding it in excel.
